AFTER / WITH TIMBERTRAIL
A more connected way to work.
Build drafts from saved records and reusable templates, then review validation findings. The preparer and the person authorised to submit can work from the same information with different permissions.
Illustrative workflow, not a measured customer result.
What is a DDS?
A due diligence statement is a declaration submitted through the EU’s EUDR Information System by an operator or authorised representative where required. Whether that workflow applies to a particular transaction depends on the business’s activities and the relevant rules. Preparing a form is only one part of the wider due diligence process.
Build the source records before the draft
Organise producers, products, plots and supporting documentation first. The product includes mandate management and access settings for the EUDR Information System. Any production access or authorisation needs to be established and checked before operational filing.
Reuse templates, then review the specifics
Statement templates provide a starting point for repeated work. Check the selected products, activity and source information for the current draft rather than assuming the previous example applies unchanged. Where information is imported, review the mapping and the resulting records.
Use validation as a review aid
TimberTrail displays pre-submission findings and plot validation states. Resolve blocking errors and assess warnings in context. Passing a technical check does not prove that the underlying information is correct or that the product meets every legal requirement.
Keep preparation and filing distinct
A preparer can build and validate a draft without having submission permissions. The demo lets you explore that separation with sample data. It is a test environment, not a production filing service; production access and end-to-end filing must be confirmed before operational use.
What to bring to a walkthrough
We can start with a representative example. Use fictional or anonymised information in the shared demo.
- A product and the activity you want to demonstrate
- A representative set of producer and plot records
- An example of the supporting documentation
- Your intended preparation and approval responsibilities
What this example aims to show
A walkthrough can show your team how to assemble a representative draft, identify gaps and follow a repeatable review process. It does not demonstrate production filing acceptance or guarantee EUDR compliance.
